I live in the culturally rich City of Dreams Mumbai – India. I have been a world traveler since my childhood days and an avid food-o-holic! (if that is an actual word). This blog is a reflection of the variety of foods that I have tasted and I will never be able to tell when I became a mad scientist of Comfort food.
I live with my husband and my teenage daughter , both being profound foodies. We also have another 3 year old who has an appetite for all the good food. That’s my Lhasa Apso ‘Zoey.’

Let me tell you some interesting things About Me . My philosophy is creativity woven into simple, easy and delicious recipes without breaking the bank with grocery staples from the pantry. My travel diaries have been a guide to authenticity, hence my recipes are rooted to the cuisines and the their history. In today’s fast paced lives we need quick meals without compromising on taste and nutrition.
Am a Microbiologist by education and my hobby is painting with acrylics. I feel art influences my meal presentation . An artistically plated meal doubles up your Appetite.
In my growing up years I have always seen my mom, who was an awesome cook work relentlessly, within budgets to dish out a restaurant style meal.
My Education
Being a microbiologist as I mentioned I hardly entered the kitchen back then. I guess “ Genes” finally do their trick. So here I am today doing what I do best. Creating concoctions and making people happy gastronomically.
My passion for cooking set in, when me and my husband were in South East Asia. Malaysia and Singapore for over 2 years. I was on a dependent visa and had to be confined to home with no job at hand , I started my experiments in the kitchen. With my phone calls to my Mom back in India trying to replicate all her recipes and also making successful attempts at South Asian Cuisine. The rest is history. My culinary journey began from Asia , across the globe into the United states where we spent almost 8 years, with my husband and my Daughter.
That’s when I got acquainted with world on my plate. Started documenting all my food recipes from around the globe. Hope this blog helps you explore the food scientist within you.
