Nutty, sweet , tender inside and crispy outside . These air fried Crispy Brussels Sprouts are a wonderful accompaniment to any main. I know a lot of my Vegan vegetarian friends who even love it as a snack or a meal.
For those who think it is a side , and what could be the main , Serve it along with Instant Pot Ratatouille. The Balsamic in both the recipes brings out the best in both the recipes.
Low carb and Keto friendly , these Crispy Brussels Sprouts taste delicious. The chance of you following in love with these is so high , you shall be wanting to make them often.
Tossed with the best Olive oil, drizzle of the Balsamic to add the sweetness.
There are times you can add to the nuttiness by generous sprinkle of Parmesan .
I also add Panko bread crumbs (gluten free or not ) to get them to be more crunchier.
I have come to realise that this is the best way to make them tender without baby sitting them . Steaming, straining and stir frying . We love these Crispy Brussels Sprouts when they are Air fried . The Out come is Crunchy , Sweet , nutty and tasty Brussels Sprouts.

Ingredients needed to make the Crispy Brussels Sprouts.

Olive Oil- I particularly prefer a light oil not too nutty, and flavour packed like the Pompeian Olive oil /vegetable oil/ Canola oil. Neutral tastes and light texture make them excellent for frying . Be it on stove top/Air fryer.

Seasoning- Salt and Ground black pepper is what i have used. Brussels sprouts are nutty in flavour, soft and tender in the inside. Almost cabbagey . I prefer to keep it simple . Himalayan Pink salt /Kosher/ Sea salt can all be used . Ground black pepper just to add a little bit of heat .

Hot Sauce – Totally optional. I love the extra kick in the Crispy Brussels Sprouts recipe. You can totally leave this out . Hot Sauce for me Please!!

Balsamic Vinegar / Glaze – Love the Acidity and Sweetness that the Balsamic adds . The Flavours get enhanced when they marry Brussels Sprouts.

You could add a tonne of different seasonings , like Italian Mix herbs, Parmesan cheese.
Crispy Brussels Sprouts .
These are ready under 20 minutes. These small , tender sprouts absorb all the fantastic spices and seasoning . The tangy sweetness of Balsamic , the spiciness of the hot sauce.
No Steaming, boiling needed. They come out perfect every time . Air frying to get crispy and tender , perfectly cooked Brussels Sprouts.

How to make these Crispy Brussels Sprouts in the Air Fryer ?
These veggies are supper delicious. However , not everyone loves this humble veggie. So here is how to make it amazingly crispy on the outside and tender inside.

Trim the loose leaves of the washed and cleaned Brussels Sprouts.

Cut them lengthwise and pat them dry. Place them in a bowl .

Add any neutral oil , Season with salt and black pepper ground.

Next add Hot Sauce. This is totally optional . I like the spicy kick that the hot sauce adds.

However, it is ok to skip it. I love to add a Balsamic glaze . The Balsamic glaze coats the sprouts beautifully .

Mix the marinade well . Transfer the Brussels Sprouts to the Air fryer basket . Make sure to place them in a single layer.

Cook at 180 deg C /350 Deg F for 15 minutes. Stir them mid way to get even colour and cooking. You can sprinkle these with Parmesan cheese for a nutty flavour zing.

- Oil ( neutral)- 1 Tbsp
- Salt- 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper Powder- 1/4 tsp
- Hot Sauce (optional)- 1/2 tsp
- Balsamic vinegar/ glaze- 2 tsp
Instructions
