A Flavourful Chicken Recipe, made with Garlic, Fresh Parmesan and Cream .This Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken is a quick and easy recipe for A lazy Weeknight meal or Weekend Dinner plan.

Made within 30 minutes and I love how flavour packed and nutritious it turns out. 

 

Hide the greens . Children especially love this dish and they don’t even mind the’ The Spinach’ .

 

Creamier with the cream ( you could swap with cashew cream, almond Cream,Just incase you have a lactose intolerant person) , so believe me when i say Children will be asking for seconds and adults will be drooling too!

 Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Can we make this creamy  Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken with any meat , shrimp or Fish?

 

Absolutely!!!!

When I made this creamy Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken ,I made this with a couple of different combinations.

The sauce compliments the Shrimps, Crab meat, and even lobster tails.

The garlic and cream marry very well . The Luscious Sauce is perfect for a crusty bread , ready to be dipped in the sauce. The sauce is also a delicious combination for pasta, Spaghetti, Zucchini noodles or even rice.

 

 

What are the Ingredients Used to make the Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken?

 

 

The List of Ingredients are summarised here , however a detailed list along with measurements can be found in the recipe card below.The Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken is made with Ingredients easily found in the Pantry. As this recipe can be made within 30 minutes , its a meal which can add sparkle to a dull weeknight dinner.

 

  • Oil and butter- The oil used can be a neutral oil or Olive oil . The Recipe uses Parmesan Cheese hence I prefer to use any light oil for sautéing the onion and garlic . Butter , a spoonful of butter added to oil just keeps the flavours of butter intact. 

 

  • Onion– A red onion, yellow or any onion found in the pantry is ideal for the recipe. To add depth to the sauce also a little zing .  I have used a Red onion for this recipe. 

 

  • Garlic Since this Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

    is a recipe that uses lots of garlic. Its a mandate. Just in case we do not like garlic it can be avoided. We are garlic lovers and prefer the extra punch the garlic adds to the sauce. You can also use garlic powder if you like.

 

  • Chicken– Hormone and antibiotic free Chicken is what i always use in all my recipes. We do not want to consume  antibiotics fed to the chicken . Free range meats are always good as they are not hormone fed.

 

  • Chicken Stock – I love the Rachel ray brand ( its really flavoufull Like homemade) My refrigerator has Chicken stock. Homemade Chicken stock is easy to make and can be used in a range of recipes too. low sodium store bought varieties of Chicken stocks or bouillon cubes could also be used in this particular recipe.

 

  • Spinach- Spinach always freshens up a sauce , the flavours added and the colour it imparts to a dish can make it look like a million dollar dish. Its also nutritious , The spinach disguised in the cream sauce and parmesan is loved by children too. So go ahead add the spinach. You can very well use canned organic spinach lying in your pantry. 

 

 

  • Seasoning– this is a minimal seasoning recipe. The flavours are attributed to the parmesan and Garlic . So salt and Pepper is good enough to season the sauce as well as the chicken.

 

  • Parmesan– Please! use the best Parmigiano-Reggiano. Please do not use the ready ones with fillers and flavours. Believe me when I say ,” it makes a lot of difference, fresh and only fresh.”

 

 

  • Make it keto : Leave Out the Corn starch . Add Glucomannan instead. Or just avoid the thickeners. You may add the Cream and cheese just before serving . Do not over heat , so they do not split.

Instructions on making the Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

 

  • Switch on the Instant pot in Sauté mode. As the Inner Pot hr eats up, add oil , and the butter.

  • Once the oil and butter heat up add the onion and sauté for a  minute or so. Its important to sauté till the onions turn translucent.

  • Next add the minced garlic and sauté again for about a minute again. At this point it is important to add the chicken legs / Chicken breast . Your favourite chicken meat and give a nice glaze to the chicken, To make this easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken.

  • Now add the seasoning , well seasoned chicken or any meat or fish that you wish to add has to be seasoned well. Just salt and pepper is good enough. The flavours come from the delicious chicken stock , garlic, onions and the Chicken itself.Add the Chicken Stock .

  • Cancel the Sauté mode and close the lid of the Instant pot. Cook at high pressure for about 7 to 8 minutes.

  • After natural release of pressure which is about additional 5 minute.

  • Remove the chicken from the inner pot , add the cream or half and half , coconut or Almond milk.

  • Next add the thickening agent , I added the Gluten free tapioca starch.

  • Now comes the Star ingredient -Parmesan Cheese.

  • Stir it in , add Spinach and the Chicken back to the Pot. 

  • Our Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken is ready to be served.

  • Enjoy this Luscious Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken with Rice, Fettuccine, Spaghetti or a Crusty Bread.

Pro tips for making this Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken-

 

  • The cream used in the recipe can be easily replaced with Coconut milk, Almond milk or even half and half. 

  • Chicken used in this recipe is boneless Skinless Chicken thigh, however the  boneless skinless Chicken Breasts can also be used.

  • Use low sodium Chicken Stock as we add the Cheese which is salty in nature. So any extra salt can just spoil the delicate flavours .

  • Do not let the cheese simmer for a longer time as there are chances it splits sometimes.

  • Leave Out the Corn starch . Add Glucomannan instead. Or just avoid the thickeners. You may add the Cream and cheese just before serving . Do not over heat , so the cream and cheese  does not split.

Ingredients

  • Chicken -Boneless Skinless Chicken legs/breasts- 2 pounds
  • Oil - any neutral oil- 1 tbsp.
  • Butter-1 tbsp
  • Onion diced- 1 cup
  • Garlic- minced 2 tsp
  • Salt- 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper crushed-1/2 tsp.
  • Chicken Stock- 1 cup
  • Parmesan cheese- 1 cup.
  • Cream / half n half/ Coconut milk/ Almond milk- 1 cup.
  • Spinach-1 1/2 cup
  • Corn starch slurry- Gluten free- 2 tbsp in 1/4 cup water.

Instructions
